Our Story

Regional Eyecare Center has been serving the Cape Girardeau area for over 35 years.

1986

Regional Eyecare Center founded by Beverly Cleair, OD.

1988

Christy Fowler, OD joins the practice.

2001

Scott McDougal, OD joins the practice.

2003

Drs. Fowler and McDougal take over ownership of the office.

Christy M. Fowler O.D.Optometrist

Dr. Fowler has been treating patients at Regional Eyecare Center since 1998. She has been involved with numerous charities and served as the President of the State Board of Optometry. Dr. Fowler is originally from New Madrid and currently resides in Cape Girardeau with her husband Rick, their kitty cats, and a large family of raccoons.

Scott A. McDougal O.D.Optometrist

Dr. McDougal is a native of southeast Missouri and returned to the area to join this practice in 2001. He has clinical interests in ocular disease, pediatrics, and contact lenses including specialty contact lenses for multifocals, keratoconus, and myopia management. He and his wife Amanda make their home in Cape Girardeau and have four children.
